Obamacare Website Will 'Work Smoothly' By Late November, Official Says

Obamacare Website Will 'Work Smoothly' By Late November, Official Says
The most important thing about the Health Care Law is that it has the potential to be a success if the Republicans could just quit trying give people the death sentence by working to destroy the law instead of helping to make it work.

The myths of Obamacare's 'failure' - latimes.com

The myths of Obamacare's 'failure' - latimes.com
The so-call Obamacare victims do exist because it found out those who are losing a good health care plan and face a doubled premium for no gain in benefits is nothing but an incomplete story book. They've been getting good rates because they've been in good health -- in fact, the entire customer base in their plan have turned out to be good risks, allowing Insurance companies to gift them with good rates. But the transition from good health to bad health can take place in the blink of an eye; in that case, if they lost their Insurance coverage, then without Obamacare they'd be left at the mercy of high premiums and coverage exclusions resulting from their pre-existing conditions. "As a quote, "those who heap up coal to make warm for a few days will be left in the cold for months and years to come."

Information that might prove beneficial in this day and ages of climate change.

Maybe some common sense about climate change are hidden in this book of history. At Ellicott's Mills, Banneker made astronomical calculations that predicted solar and lunar eclipses for inclusion in his ephemeris. He placed the ephemeris and its subsequent revisions in a number of editions in a six-year series of almanacs which were printed and sold in six cities in four states for the years 1792 through 1797: Baltimore; Philadelphia; Wilmington, Delaware; Alexandria, Virginia; Petersburg, Virginia; and Richmond, Virginia

The Truth About Those Canceled Health Plans

The Truth About Those Canceled Health Plans
The most important thing to do is shop around. Your current health insurance company isn't necessarily offering you the best deal. And some of the horror stories we've been seeing in the news turn out not to be quite true. The bottom line is that some people will pay more and some will pay less.
Obamacare's health insurance exchanges include every qualified health plan sold in your local area and the prices vary a lot, so before signing off on that big rate increase or deciding to go uninsured, find out what you can get instead.
Another thing your health insurance company probably isn't telling you is that you may be able to get help paying for your insurance through Obamacare's tax credits, which are available to anyone who earns up to four times the federal poverty level, or about $46,000 for a single person this year.

GOP: We’ve been lying all along. And the people know they still are....

SOTH John Boehner finally admits that all the fiscal cliffs, sequestrations and budget battles they created are, indeed, artificially fabricated by ideologues and self-interested politicians and not the result of some imminent crisis that’s out of our control. And if Republicans can lie then, you know they will lie now and even worse.

And there steps they can take right now — steps that deal with the debt in measured ways that do the least harm to the overall economy. Those include starting to phase out the Bush tax cuts, which show no correlation with job growth and yet are the single largest driver of annual deficits; starting to reduce defense and war spending, which, job-creation-wise, is one of the least effective ways for the government to spend money; starting to move the United States toward the least costly, more efficient, and more effective single-payer healthcare system (The affordable Health Care is the beginning of doing that) that most industrialized countries have. And that lowers overhead for employers; and starting to spend more money on social programs that fight economic inequality, with the understanding that driving down such inequality tends to boost macroeconomic growth and consequently boost public revenues (this is the Reagan-esque idea of growing one’s way out of debt).
